Coggles

Coggles was started in York in 1974 as a small family dress shop business called β€˜Sarah Coggles Frock Shop’. The business was founded by Victoria Bage, Mark Bage and Sarah Bage and soon became one of the most famous fashion destinations in the UK.

Coggles helped Set the early standards of modern fashion e-commerce

By 2005 Mark Bage had created Coggles.com an online fashion lifestyle website from start-up to a community of over 300k users, using innovative marketing strategies which included social media and digital campaigns. Coggles as a business achieved over 100 million in sales over it's first 30 years and trained over 2,200 staff.

Coggles paved the way in the realm of international fashion destinations, setting the standard long before the emergence of sites like End, Goodhood, and Mr Porter. As a comprehensive hub for contemporary, catwalk, denim, branded, sportswear, lifestyle, and graduate collections, Coggles was not just about fashion. It expanded its horizons by introducing lifestyle elements, books, bikes, homewares, editorial content, fashion films, and meticulously curated collections, making it a trailblazer in the industry.

In 2013 Coggles was sold to The Hut Group.

One of the main elements of our brief involved creating a site that reflected the company’s unique editorial brand, look and feel.

We were tasked with designing the site, customer experience, creative direction and stock system integration with a custom built e-commerce system.
